Data Backup

  1. Local Data Backup
    Home directories of user accounts can quickly and easily be restored. We perform a daily backup of the data on our central NFS-Servers nfs46-1 and nfs46-2. If you need some of your data to be restored, please contact the IT systems group of the Chairs I4, I7, I21.
    Furthermore we provide an additional backup server.


  2. LRZ Backup
    A daily backup via ISP (IBM Spectrum Protect Storage Manager) is carried out to the tape library at the LRZ. The three last changed versions of each file are stored.


  3. Expired User Accounts
    The data of deleted user accounts are archived via TSM.
