Software architecture is concerned with structure and design of software systems. Currently component-based and service-based approaches are used in this domain. Our goal is to develop and improve techniques to describe software architectures based on services and components. The architecture group defines and improves architecture centric development processes, which can be adapted and scaled to specific needs of projects. All techniques will be tool supported and (document-) templates will be defined, for direct application in industry.
