Competence Center Tool Support - Overview

During development, operation and maintenance of software engineers and operators use a plethora of supporting tools. Design and modeling tools support the development of software with source code editors and code generators. Test and verification tools ensure the functional correctness of the software under development. Tools for software quality analysis support software maintenance. Tools for project and process management organize the execution and the artefacts of the software development.

The Competence Center for Tool Support is dedicated to identify and to research the essential aspects of tools used during the software and system development process. In cooperation with the other competence centers we develop tool prototypes, which are then used in numerous industrial cooperations and academic education.
