Artifact: Stakeholders and Roles
The stakeholder and roles sub-artifact contains all information w.r.t. the stakeholder involved in the project. Several stakeholders can become roles, if they either actively participate in later projects or if they have to be involved, e.g. in decision making processes. If possible, this sub-artifact can also contain analyses of organization models, e.g. a hierarchy in which a company is organized.
At least the names of the stakeholders and roles to be considered should be named to define some basic terminology.

CollapseKey Considerations

When defining the stakeholders and the roles, it is important to have the following aspects in mind:

  • In each organization, there are promotors that support the SPI project - such allies should be identified
  • In each organization, there are opponents that try to hinder the project - these have to be identified, their concerns have to be addressed

The identification of promotors and opponents is crucial and requires good communication and negotiation skills of the Process Engineer to make the SPI project successful. Furthermore, the identification of the key stakeholder groups is essential for the development of a Training Concept.
